How Massage Trades Works
It's simple.
You start with 1 or 3 credits, which are worth one or three one-hour massages.
Every time you receive a one-hour massage, it costs 1 credit.
Every time you provide a massage, you earn 1 credit per hour plus a 1 credit participation bonus for each completed session.
Examples:
60-minute massage = 2 credits earned
90-minute massage = 2.5 credits earned
120-minute massage = 3 credits earned
That means every massage you give earns enough credit to receive a massage and still have credit left over.
As long as you stay active and continue contributing to the community, you can enjoy massage trades indefinitely while building your credit balance.

Eligibility
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a current massage license or certification
- Maintain professional liability insurance
- Agree to the Massage Trades Code of Conduct
- Maintain an active profile with accurate contact information
Verification Required
Upon joining, members must submit:
- Massage license number and state of licensure
- Proof of liability insurance
- Professional photo
- Practice location(s)
- Areas of specialization
Membership Levels
During pre-launch, everyone joins as a free member with 1 starter credit and all paid-member benefits. Upgrade options arrive at official launch.
Free Member
Free members get a verified profile in the directory, can browse and search all members, and — during our pre-launch period — can initiate trades and message therapists directly. As a welcome gift, free members receive 1 starter credit to initiate their first trade. Additional credits can be earned by giving massages (1 credit per hour plus a 1-credit participation bonus per session).

Help grow the community of licensed therapists who give and receive professional bodywork.
You earn 1 credit when a therapist you refer becomes an active member by either:
- Purchasing a paid membership, or
- Completing their first trade through the platform.
Referral rewards are paid only once per referred member. Your unique referral link lives in your dashboard after you join.

Code of Conduct
Professionalism is the foundation of every trade.
Members Agree To
- Verify each other's credentials before trading
- Arrive on time and provide the agreed-upon session
- Communicate professionally at all times
- Maintain proper hygiene
- Honor all boundaries and respect treatment preferences
- Respect scheduling commitments
- Keep all client and therapist information strictly confidential
No Solicitation
Massage Trades is for bodywork exchange only. Members may not:
- Recruit for businesses, organizations, or MLMs
- Sell unrelated services or products
- Pressure members into purchases or sign-ups
Cancellation Policy
Respect for each other's time keeps the community strong.
More than 24 hours notice
No penalty. Simply reschedule at your convenience.
Less than 24 hours notice
- First offense: Warning
- Second offense: Lose 1 credit
- Third offense: Lose 1 credit + account review
No-Show
Immediate loss of 2 credits. Repeated no-shows may result in suspension.
